Commercial properties, or businesses, are a cornerstone of the GTA:World experience. They play a fundamental role in the server's economy and serve as the primary means of legal employment for many characters. They come in a variety of different types, each with different functionalities. Some can only be leased, others allow for a lot of creative freedom, both in location and in offered products or services.

Businesses are to be distinguished between shop scripts and business properties. As with housing, physical locations are in limited supply in the GTA5 world, and therefor commercial properties can be tough to obtain.

There are three main ways in which business can be obtained;

• Buying an existing business from another player
• Leasing a business
• Requesting a property to be used as a business

Property Management Oversight

Regardless of the methods by which a commercial property, or business, is obtained, players and their characters are subject to oversight from multiple administration teams. Keep in mind that the assets owned, and businesses operated by characters must attempt to reflect a sense of realism.
