Automatic License-Plate Recognition

Automatic License-Plate Recognition system, also known as ALPR, is a tool which is installed select police cruisers, and is only be available to use by officers part of the Traffic Division. The system simulates having cameras attached to the front of the police cruiser and will every now and then scan vehicles in front of the cruiser. It will work at a range of 20 meters.

Once the camera detects a vehicle, a search in the police database is performed. This takes approximately four seconds. After that a sound notification is played and the scanned license plate information is displayed. The ALPR will pull information about the vehicle's registration status, driver's license status, if the vehicle is reported stolen or if the owner owes money due to outstanding fines.

Commands

/alpr to toggle the system ON/OFF

/reportvehiclestolen (reportvehstolen, reportstolen) [numberplate] to report your vehicle stolen to the LSPD. This will help the ALPR system to flag the vehicle stolen for the officers using it.

/reportvehiclefound (reportvehfound, reportfound) [numberplate] to report your vehicle found again. All vehicles reported stolen will be removed again when the server restarts.
