Residential properties, or housing, are a major part of the GTA:World experience. They often function as a character's primary inhabitable location and are used to store items and cash, can be furnished to enhance the indoor roleplay experience, and overall provide a home for your character.

Since physical locations are in limited supply in the GTA5 world, the most desirable residential properties may be very difficult to obtain, and it could take players months, or longer, to obtain a fancy house. Apartments are in more numerous supply and can often be bought instantly from the server.

Buying a house

Buying a residential property can be achieved in three different ways;

• House requests
• Buying from the server
• Buying from another character

Housing requests are a type of property requests that can be submitted through the UCP, to the property management team. Players are expected to give an IC and an OOC motivation as to why they are requesting a specific residential property.

Certain apartments and houses are available to be purchased directly from the server. An overview of these locations can be found on https://map.gta.world/4sale.php.

Characters can buy and sell houses among each other. This is often advertised through the in game advertisement systems or through the advertisement section on the official forums.

Renting a house

Renting a house or apartment can be achieved in two different ways;

• Renting a motel room directly from the server
• Renting a house, apartment or shared residence from another character

Furniture

As the property owner, or a tenant with construction rights, your character can furnish the interior of residences and properties. Certain interior types limit the ability to create custom furnishings.

External Furniture

For platinum donators, the exterior furniture feature is available. This allows characters to decorate the exterior of the property, assuming that the residence has its own front door. This feature is limited to a certain number of furniture objects, and to a certain range from the property.

Commands

Once your character has possession of a property or access to one, the following commands can be used to engage with the property. Some of these commands are only available to property owners.

/enter or Press Y - Enter a property, business or an interior.

/exit or Press Y - Exit a property, business or an interior.

/plock - This is to lock/unlock your property.

/pinfo -This is information regarding your home.

/pmenu -This is to give you some information about your property and to give construction rights to tenants.

/outfit -This is used to change outfits from your property.

/sellproperty -This is you selling your home back to the sever for half the market value.

/playersellproperty -This is for selling your home to a specific player.

/bell - Rings the bell

/knock - Knocks at the door

/breakin - Sends a breakin request to onduty administrators

Inventory

/pinv - Lists all items in property in text format.

/ppitem [ItemID] [AMOUNT] - Puts an item from your inventory and places it in the property inventory. You can put items in property using the "I" menu by accessing "Inventory" option.

/ptitem [ItemID] [AMOUNT] - Takes an item from your property inventory and place sit in your inventory. You can take items from property using the "I" menu by accessing "Property Inventory" option.

/ppitems - Puts all items from your inventory into the property

/ptitems - Takes all items from property inventory and puts it in your inventory

/pd [AMOUNT] - Puts money from your cash assets into the property cashbox. You can check how much money using /pinfo

/pw [AMOUNT] - Takes money from the property cashbox and puts it in your cash assets. You can check how much money using /pinfo

Renting and Tenants

/setrentable (price)-This is to make your property rent-able. (only usable if your property can be automatically rented) /tenants -This is to view a list of current tenants.

/evictall -This is to evict all your tenants.

/givepropertykey - Offers a key of your property to another player to invite him as tenant

/removekey - /kicktenant -This is to kick a specific tenant.

/stoprent-This is to stop renting a property.
